Happy new year Newgrounds and lets make the next decade the one to remember! I have to say that 2009 wasn't my year at all, too much financial and emotional bullshit that fell against me. Didn't help that most of the games were actually pretty damn disappointing that they made me question about the money I used for that money could have went towards something more rewarding like food and water, future and other important shit. Just made me realise that I should just have a select few games to play this year

Number One being the most disappointing and you should have expected better from.

ell anyway, lets hope this year will be more happiness than depression and lets see what the future brings.

hmm... Prototype sucked but I like Kingdom Hearts for DS.
Zelda, Mario and Luigi and Brütal Legends were quite awesome.

In my opinion, Tales of Vesperia was the best game of 2009^^

i agree with some of them, especialy resident evil, big let downs. but are u talking about MW2 campaign, or just the game in general? its just a personal opinion, i know, but the multiplayer was a huge expansion on the first and all the call of dutys to go on. but the campaign was a bit of a let down, yes. ODST had no meaning, so i get that. everything else, maybe not in that order, but i definatly agree with most everything. also, bioshock 2, mass effect 2, and several other games are comeing out in the next few months, although i can see your no big fan of the FPS

the campaign had some major impact on the disappointment but in my opinion, you can't really let a game slide because of the multiplayer. I've always considered the multiplayer to be the bonus in a videogame, not the main aspect. if a game was mainly focused on the multiplayer then there shouldnt be a campain in the first place.

you know what, i agree with alot of what your sayin but unless your like 14 and under i wouldnt include a pokemon game. i mean im 13 myself and i got over pokemon when i was nine!
dont get me wrong, i liked (notice "like-d" as pastenced) pokemon but i even in my most powerful phase of pokemon loving, i wouldnt add pokemon as anything over 8th of my fav games.
But that just my opinion. i think i differ from you because i like games with alot of action such as infamous and assasins creed 2 but thats just me.

Just because a game is intended for kids, doesn't mean that its not that good, most games that are made for adults are actually piss poor.

I Love games with action but there wasn't that many good action games this year besides that ons listed above. I also didn't buy Assassin's creed 2 because I looked it over.

I agree with some, but ODST and MW2 were pretty good in my opinion, but I am a big FPS guy. I played a lot of the games on your list, and I do have differing views. That's just me though. MW2 and ODST's campaigns were a bit of a let-down but still good experiences. Re-Shelled wasn't that good, it's nothing like the SNES classic I remember. But it's a pretty good list, hope they'll be more to look forward to this year.

MW2 and ODST were built more for multiplayer rather than singleplayer. The campaigns in both were...just...awful.

just outta curiosity, what did you find disappointing about modern warfare 2? I agree with resident evil 5 though, the only thing good about it was the co-op, nothing more.

the fact that the campaign was just so damn short and all the best part weren't ll that great. the hyped up terrorist scene was nothing compared to what the nuke had in the last game. Multiplayer was addicting but were wasn't much making me want to go back and the recently the multiplayer got hacked so that reduced the fun for me and everyone else.

I totally agree that Arkham Asylum should be on the top 10, but not number 1. I found myself doing the same moves over and over in the game. Challenge modes are fun, but not extremely fun. Should have had a co-op with Robin, 1 v 1 Batman v Joker, or something along those lines. Would have made it more fun. But it was still great.

Fyi, Left 4 Dead 2 should be on the top of the best list. Demons Souls should be somewhere there too, but seeing as you don't own a PS3, you're missing out on that game.

Robin probably would have gayed it up but I agree that there should have been a co-up with Robin or Knightwing.

Left 4 Dead 2 was great but it wasn't enough to make my list. Also, it was strongon multiplayer and for some reason, I'm always paired up with dicks.

Finally, I don't own a Ps3 yet and I'm not going to run out and buy one for the sake of a few exclusives. most of the time, the exclusives end up coming to Xbox. Final Fantasy 13, Devil May Cry 4, Tekken 6, these were meant to be only for the eyes of Sony Fans but the 3rd parties were too greedy and didnt feel like making exclusive games for a console that not many people bought.
